The ISIS funded Harkat-ul is predecessor of Jaish E Mohammed: CIA Report

A declassified report of CIA on Harkat-ul-Ansar (HUA) which was the parent organization of Jaish-e-Mohammed Has been found. It says that the Hua received regular funding from Pakistan intelligence agencies in the early 90s and particularly in 1996.

The terrorist organization was provided in between $30000-$69000 monthly by ISI. The Hua has been listed by the US as a foreign terrorist organization. Later it was renamed as Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM). The terror outfit in which Masood Azhar was general secretary was evolved as Jaish-e-Mohammed.

The HUA kidnapped a dozen foreigners in 1994, as a result, Pakistan went under pressure and scaled down the funding. According to the intelligence inputs, after released from an Indian prison Masood Azhar established Jaish-e-Mohamed not only with the help of ISI but also received the financial assistance from the Taliban government in Afghanistan and Osama Bin Laden.

The CIA report also says that pressure for cutting the funding to the terrorist group. It would make the organization more likely to accept money from anti-US international terrorist supporters such as Al-Qaeda.

      Welcome hitesh. Yeah there are a lot of examples that shows that pak govt. sponsors the terrorist activities to enhance the instability in the sub-continent.

    one thing is sure the Jaise organisation is soon going to end with help of Indian armed force.
